The Legend of L I N K [Child!Link x Reader] Part.3

[Just a little heads-up, this chapter is set happening around the same time as chapter one. As a sort of "Whilst Link goes and does his thing, Mido does his thing too." His thing being- Mido just being Mido.

"Link! How come The Great Deku Tree wants to see you and not the 'Great Mido'?" he said scoffing, a rather large frown plastered on his face, " Well you're not passing without a sword and a shield!" he smirked, smugly, knowing that Link didn't have a shield to accompany his sword.
Link sighed, rubbing his forehead he simply looked at Mido with an un-amused expression plastered on his face. He walked of, rolling his eyes slightly, without saying word.

          --> Mido's P.O.V <--

I was not going to let that brat win over Saria AND The Great Deku Tree... I have a plan to get Saria to love ME! The GREAT Mido shall succeed! The little brat ran off before I could do anything, I'll just have to find another numbskull to do my bidding... I took long strides towards the shop, displaying my long muscular calves for all to see. Hopping over the natural rock platforms and totally not slipping and falling face first into the water. Pulling myself out of the pond I so totally didn't fall into, my pointy kokiri ears twitched at the sound of a young girl calling my name.


"Hey there Mido~" She winked as she waved gingerly, with a smile. She wrapped a lock of aurelion hair around her fingers, twirling it ever so lowly in a suggestive manner.


I internally scoffed at her indecent display of affection towards me, but of course I do understand where it's coming from, after all it is I the Great Mido we're talking about. But alas my heart belongs to another~ Only the fair maiden Saria is deserving of my sentiment! I shook off the droplets of water on my tunic and strut into the shop to find a very angry little shop keeper.


"Why so glum buddy?" I said with a fake smile, shining my beautiful yellow teeth at him, my elbow resting on the desk in front of me as I raised an eyebrow if an attempt to fabricate the illusion of care for this agitated eld.


"Link...He ran off without paying the full amount again!" he grumbled, obviously ticked off. Puffs of smoke poured out of his little red head in anger and frustration. This is good...very good indeed.


I chuckled at the thought of easily finding someone to impede Link's little expedition. I will become the Great Deku Tree's right hand man, and I shall win over Saria! All I need to do now is use my flawless charm and charisma to get him to whatever I ask. Easy right?


"Well my pal, I think I may be able to help you...get back at that brat Link, for whatever he did." I said, flashing my award winning Colgate grin at him.


He considered my deal and slowly nod in a semi reluctant manner. What a joke, that was too easy. I've got this guy wrapped around my little finger, Link, you better watch your back because I'm coming after you!


I walked out of the shop with the shop keeper tailing behind me... he's so pitiful I haven't even bothered to learn his name. I caught a glance at a moving figure...it looked like a flash of forest green. Curiously, I followed it, only to find the person I had been looking for. What luck. I watched him walk up to a hole...wait ... I haven't seen that before, since when did that get there?!... Anyway, I'm not going to let him get away from me again!


" Hey! You! Shop Keep! There he is! Go get him out of that hole NOW!" I ordered with venom spiting from every word, in my commanding tone. I've got to admit, I'm pretty great. That is why they call me the Great Mido!


He stumbled at the force of my voice, weakling, and waddled off to grab him. Unfortunately he only grabbed his foot but WOW! I underestimated this little guy! He tugged him out, no sweat. I stood over the boy and knocked him out cold with my deku nuts. [Perv plz ]
N-not that type of deku nut! In a flash, he laid there unconscious and I took the opportunity to slide him into a woven body bag, and tossed it over my shoulder to take back to my place.





'Wow I can't believe we've actually made it this far... I have to admit Link's saved me more than a few times! But this time things are going to change! I'm going to be the hero this time you wait and see!'


I struggled to keep up with Link who was now...rolling everywhere? Sure it was amusing but I'm seriously starting to question this kid's mental state, surely there was a reason for this.


"W-What are you doing?" I said as nonchalantly as I could, trying not to burst out laughing there and then, my lip twitching due to the hilarity. Raising an eyebrow at his actions and smirking softly.


"Rolling...It's faster" He puffed out in spurts as he rolled, he really did sound tired. I have to give it to him though, forward rolls are indeed faster than walking.


"It's time for a break, Link, don't overwork yourself." I said, even I was surprised by how motherly I sounded, I grasped his hand in my own and a small pink blush covered his cheeks. I giggled softly and led him to a fairly quiet area which we rested it for a while. His hand was warm and soft, but it slipped out of my hand when he went to sit. I almost audibly whimpered from the soft touch and warmth of his hand, but quickly covered it up with a cough and a glance to the side.


He carefully sat on a tree stump and gestured for me to sit next to him, a glint of humor in his eyes.


'No way, he didn't hear me did he?' I thought to myself in a moment of panic, but as he looked away I reassured myself 'Of course he didn't, I am a master with my facade!' chuckling softly to myself at my sarcastic false boastful statement I carefully sat down- That's odd this seat is awfully swishy. I bounced around on the seat and poked it with my dagger-WAIT!? IT'S A SPIDER EGG--


The world went black as I hit my head on the wooden floor. Looks like being a hero will have to wait...







I sat down and gestured for (name) to sit down next to me... It's odd, I swear I saw that seat move. No way. It must just be me, I watched her sit down  as I felt my cheeks heat up a bit- What? I don't like her do I? No way! She seemed to smile to herself but I dismissed it as nothing important.


I shook the thought from my head and opened my mouth to talk only to see (name)'s seat move around. She bounced playfully on it and eventually poked it with her dagger. I eyed her movements carefully and wondered what would happen next.


A spider - like larvae just hatched from where she was sitting and forcefully pushed her to the ground as it awakened. I pulled out my sword and swung at it, No one can hurt her! Wait... what am I thinking? Again? ARGH! The spiderling springs at me clawing at my eye and barely missing it, striking just above my brow. A small trickle of red fell to the wooden floor staining it an unearthly brown. And with one final swipe the "thing" drops down before me, a green substance leaks out of it. I scoop some up in a bottle, I might need it later.



I rush over to (name) as the monster vanishes before me causing a cloud of purple smoke with a creepy looking face that stared into your soul... A shiver jolted down my spine like lightning as I quickly turned back to (name) and shook her forcefully, as she didn't wake I picked her up. And almost like magic she began to stir from her sleep, slowly blinking and rubbing her eyes gently.


"Li...Link" she said sleepily whilst batting her eyelids to stay awake, It was adorable.


"Y-yes?" I said, kinda startled by her voice, and the fact that she didn't seem to be concerned that I was carrying her, I didn't mind either...


"T-Thanks" she said weakly, her eyes found their way to the cut on my upper eye, "But you're hurt too!"


She pointed at my now dry gash, I guess it was bigger than I thought. Suddenly she jumped out of my arms and stood up tall.


"And I... I shall take care of you!" she said triumphantly with one hand on her hips whilst the other pointed up high, I smirked, although there was no way I'd let a girl take care of me!


(Name)  However had something completely different in mind...



"Hold still!"   "Stop moving fairy boy!!"    " Almost finished!"



She tested my patience by wrapping a bandage around my forehead in a tediously slow manner. I grunted under my breath and being the inpatient, restless kid I am, I made it very hard for her to do so!

"Link?!"


-poke-.... -poke-


" I will bandage your entire face and make sure not to leave an air hole..." (name) says with a slightly twitching eye and a vein nearly popping out of her forehead. Her lips were in a small pout and her brow was scrunched up in frustration. Just the reaction I was hoping for.


I simply stuck my tongue out at her and thrashed my head around, causing her to loose her balance and fall off the well placed tree stump and bump her head on the hard, wooden floor, once again. You sure know how to mess things up dont'cha Link.


"(name)?! Are you okay?" I asked worryingly as she slowly picked herself up off the ground, dusting off her (f/c) tunic and mildly coughing into her slightly oversized sleeves.


"You....You are so gonna get it."







"You...You are so gonna get it." I said as nonchalantly as I possibly could, pulling him in for a noogie, messing up his hair then flicking him on the forehead.

I pulled away and looked at his face, to catch a reaction.


I allowed myself this moment to let out all the laughter I possibly could. You have to give me credit for his face. It was possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen, In my entire life.


His face was twisted up like he had eaten a sour Deku berry, and his cheeks flushed as red as a Goron's behind!! His hands had scrunched up and if I had gone the extra mile , steam, would've been pouring out of his ears!


He looked like he was about to burst! As blood rushed to his ears I continued to giggle and ruffle his hair, when a strange feeling overcomes me and my eyes haze over... what's happening to me? I look down at my hand as my vision begins to distort, it twists in all which ways and I begin to sway. I hear Link calling out to me as I collapse down onto my knees and I can barely turn my head back up to see him. He looked at me like he had seen some sort of ghoul pop out of my eyes, and I finally gave in and collapsed fully onto the ground.
